It lives!

Ok, I know I’ve been going for a month now, but the site is finally finished* and live! caramelbiscuit ltd lives and, I have to say, so far so good!

I’ve enjoyed a very valuable first month’s freelancing, where I have been working with the fabulous fellows at The Group. Thanks to everyone there who made me feel welcome, I enjoyed my time with you guys and I hope that’s not the last we’ll see of each other.

So what’s going on this month? Well, so far, I’m spending the month working from the office at home for new and existing clients whilst also trying to drum up new work. There’s a little bit lurking in the pipeline waiting to burst forth so let’s hope it makes it! I’ve not posted anything here since we returned to the UK as I’ve been (hopefully slyly) developing the new site whilst still live. Which I do not recommend at all.

So, new site then? Yeah, well, I thought I’d do something more appropriate this time round – get rid of the palm trees and polaroids. To my mind, there’s nothing more appropriate than giant caramelbiscuit aliens attacking a city… No? Well, I’m not sure where it came from, but here it is anyway. It’s just a bit of fun. There’s more work to be done – I don’t like the temporary redirect to blog. for a start. But until I can get a backup of the database I don’t fancy moving things around too much. Maybe one day I’ll pluck up the courage…

There’s some fun things for web developers to discover here if they so choose. Nothing ground-breaking yet, but I’m making use of some new bits and pieces here and there. Vague enough for you? The site should degrade nicely, so all this highly valuable content is available on a wide range of platforms for a wide range of users.

I would of course love to hear your feedback on the new site! Whoever you are. Comments are open. Remember, it’s not brown – it’s orange! And brown. Indeed, a couple of shades.

I hope you are all well and happy.

Stu

* I say finished. It’ll probably never be finished…
