Hee hee, overheard this from a german guy on our boat, made us chuckle lots.

Well, we have finally left Vietnam, the land where they eat anything that moves. After seeing the vast array of ‘food’ on offer, including dog, cat, mouse, sparrow and pigs uterus (yum!) we decided to stick to the safe. (more…)

Hello. We’ve been taking it quite easy since we arrived in Vietnam at the start of the month. After Ho Chi Minh we headed to Dalat which was a little chilly, but a really nice place with a (the) Crazy House which was a lot of fun to explore. Then it was onto Nha Trang for a couple of days where we promised we wouldn’t even enquire about diving. December is a notoriously bad month in Nha Trang with daily rain and high winds. When we arrived it was clear skies and blazing hot so we promptly went diving for the day. And what a day! The water was very good, if a little cold and we had 2 incredible dives. From Phnom Penh we made our way east to Kompong Cham. On the way, we stopped at a famous road side eatery, Skuol, were they serve deep fried spiders, crickets and bugs. There was a tour group on the bus with us, and some sampled the eight legged delicacies. Not I sir. No chance. (more…)
